Garden Design by the Hegarty webber Partnership, Bristol, UK

Executive Self Build

Typical of many modern properties, this rear garden is shallower than wide and had a looming, larchlap fence. The clients wanted the garden to feel more expansive, they needed two entertaining spaces, a dog lavatory and they wanted to do the work themselves.

Our design, 1 of 3 concepts we offered them, has strong diagonal lines which fully explore the site and create a strong dynamic. The substitution of half the fence with trellis creates a sense of openness.

They found the design easy to implement and it became a fun project for the family. The dog is using his loo!
