A tired ‘Italianate’ city garden, adjacent to a grade 2 listed house, over planted with palms and conifers and heavily overshadowed by a leylandii hedge.
As designers we have been asked to reconceptualise the various areas and replant as appropriate.
The new owners have also asked us to project manage:
- the extensive clearance of tired and inappropriate shrubs
- the opening up of expansive views,
- the renovation of the existing hard features.
Work began 6.10.08
On completion the garden will feature:
- An entrance garden with seasonal interest
- A romantic English garden
- A Mediterranean pool garden with viewing terrace
- A Roman Garden with authentic flora
- An Italian vegetable terrace.
