Garden Design by the Hegarty webber Partnership, Bristol, UK

A Bath Restoration Project

A tired ‘Italianate’ city garden, adjacent to a grade 2 listed house, over planted with palms and conifers and heavily overshadowed by a leylandii hedge.

As designers we have been asked to reconceptualise the various areas and replant as appropriate.

The new owners have also asked us to project manage:

  • the extensive clearance of tired and inappropriate shrubs
  • the opening up of expansive views,
  • the renovation of the existing hard features.

Work began 6.10.08

On completion the garden will feature:

  • An entrance garden with seasonal interest
  • A romantic English garden
  • A Mediterranean pool garden with viewing terrace
  • A Roman Garden with authentic flora
  • An Italian vegetable terrace.
