Anyone For Tennis?

Incorporating a tennis court into this large country garden for its new younger owners was our initial brief. To achieve its seamless integration and better meet the family’s needs, the garden needed reviving whilst still retaining its relaxed, country planterly feel.

Further new elements include an enlarged walled outside room, a croquet lawn, a walled vegetable garden, a cutting garden and so on. All laid out in an Arts and Craft style to feel as though they have always been there.

This substantial project has involved the purchase of additional land to open up stunning views, sinking various utilities beneath ground and sensitive reorganization of the garden. Close liaison with the clients as their aims for their new garden gradually evolved has been essential.
