Fish for Relaxation

Our brief was to design a garden to incorporate a koi carp pond of considerable proportions. We were also conscious of a need to create a formal link with the house and take advantage of the expansive views over a cider orchard to the west.

A formal circular lawn is centred upon and aligned with French doors giving access to the house.

Subtle planting design seamlessly blends different zones of interest such as English country garden, sub-tropical planting and ‘maritime’ scree.
